Question
Answer
How far will you travel?
While based in London, Nightshift will travel throughout England.
How long do you play for?
This depends on your plans for the evening. For weddings, we often play three hour-long sets, but this can be tailored to your needs.
Will I need to book a disco as well as the band?
This is up to you! We can easily be booked independently, as professionally mixed recorded music is provided to keep the party going between our sets as standard. If you would like to book a disco too, just let us know.
Can you play "our song"?
We've a wide range of songs suitable for "first dances" in our repertoire. If you don't see "your song" there though, get in touch. We're always happy to learn specific requests, given adequate notification. In the unlikely event we feel we are really unable to do a paritcular song justice, we will discuss with you alternatives of playing from CD or other songs.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, we hold public liability insurance and all electrical equipment is PAT tested.
How do you dress?
Our normal dress for weddings is "smart-casual", with shirts and black trousers. More or less formal attire can be requested on booking.
What different lineups are available?
Nightshift's normal lineup is 5 members which includes drums, keyboards, bass guitar, lead guitar and lead vocals. All members also sing backing vocals. Additional requirements can be discussed on booking.
How loud do you play?
We can play as loudly or quietly as you like. Having played at many functions of differing size, we can tailor the volume to the size of the room and number of people.
How much do you charge?
Pricing varies according to the distance of travel, set-up and finish times, the length of time you wish us to play for, and any other specific requirements you may have. We normally ask for a 20% deposit to secure a booking. Get in touch for full details.
Do you supply all your own equipment?
Yes, we have a PA and lighting system designed for audiences of up to 400 people. For larger events, we can hire an extension to these, which can be discussed on booking.
Do you have any specific requirements?
Ideally, we'd love a changing room suitable for 5, and a stage area of at least 20 x 10 feet. Adequate power supplies are also needed; either a minimum of 3 mains sockets for indoor events or a generator capable of supplying 32 amps single phase at 240V for outdoor events.
